0870, 0844 and 0871 Mobile Phone Rates

 

0870 and 0844 numbers cost the same as calling landlines on the tariff you are using. Contract users can call the number using inclusive minutes. Example: Pre pay users can save 86% calling mobiles on different networks and over 90% to international destinations. That means paying 5p instead of 35p per minute or more.* 0871 numbers are all charged at 35p per minute. Genie became 02 online but there are still many of the old tariffs being used.

Example: Users using the smartstep  pay as you go price plan would pay 5p per min after the first 3 minutes.* Vodafone now appear to charge to 0871 Numbers at 35p per min.

Example: Pay as you go users can save 87% calling mobiles on different networks. That means paying 5p after the first 3 minutes instead of 40p per minute.*

 

Pay as you go users: It is best not to use our service to call mobiles as it is cheaper to call mobiles directly. T-Mobile charge Pay as you go users 40p per minute to call our number but only 30p per minute to all other mobiles.* However large savings can still be made on international calls.

Contract users: 10p per minute. Normally calls to other mobiles cost 30p but can drop to 20p per minute on some tariffs. Please note, if you are calling another T-Mobile phone it is cheaper to call it directly.* However large savings can be made on calling international destinations.

We have had some reports that mobile networks have in a few instances charged an incorrect  rate for 0871 numbers. If it happens to you, ask your operator's billing department to confirm the correct price and ensure that they refund any extra charges.
