Top-up by Text Account Linking
|
|
Normally all text top-ups you make can only be spent my making calls from the same phone as you top-up from. However there are many situations where you may want to top-up by text with one phone and make calls from another. For example, if you have one phone that is good for texting, but another phone that is good for calling UK landlines. With our service you can use one phone to get credit and make calls from another phone.
You can do this by sending a text from the phone you want to top-up with, to one of the text top-up numbers containing the word LINK followed by a space and then the number you want to make calls from. This number can be another mobile or landline. Once you have linked another number, any top-ups you make will be credited to the linked number.
An example would be to send a text to: 07786 207981 containing LINK 07123456789
You would replace the number 07123456789 in the text with any valid UK mobile or landline you want to be able to make calls from.
Once a phone is linked to another number, all top-ups you make from the phone will be credited to the number you have linked to. If in future you wish to stop crediting another number, you simply send another text containing the word UNLINK to one of the text top-up numbers.
An example would be to send a text to: 07786 207981 containing UNLINK
Once a phone is unlinked, it can be used as if it had never been linked before. Any further
top-ups will be credited to the phone you are actually topping up from. Any credit that was unused on the linked number, will remain and can be used in future.
If you have linked a phone and wish to simply link it to another phone, you can do this by sending another text with the word LINK followed by a different number.
You can link and unlink phones as often as you like. Please note that any texts sent containing link instructions do not count as top-ups and do not earn any credits.

| To store numbers prefixed with our number in your mobile's phonebook, try adding a new entry such as
02380987989[Pause]00XXXXXXXXX, substituting X's for an actual number. On most mobiles a pause can be added to a number by pressing and holding the * key until the * changes to a square or a letter P. On Nokia phones you need to press the * key 3 times in quick succession to input a pause. A pause is needed to ensure you connect to our number before the phone dials the actual mobile number.
